Contemporary Japanese cuisine
on Viale Monza 23.
Taiyo opened on Viale Monza in March 2013 as a contemporary take on the Japanese restaurant: à la carte menu, carefully sourced ingredients, a space designed to be experienced unhurried.
The name — , sun — is the leit motiv: warm light crossing the metal mesh ceiling, brass, orange accents. The space is designed by Milanese architect Maurizio Lai.
We offer an à la carte menu and, for dinner, an all-you-can-eat option. The kitchen stays the same: Japanese fusion with Mediterranean touches — considered, not improvised.
A beacon of light, steps from Piazzale Loreto.
At lunch we serve fixed combinations at accessible prices. At dinner, choose between the à la carte — where you'll find our fullest selection — and the all-you-can-eat menu.
Fish is delivered fresh daily. The menu shifts with season and availability.
Light as material. The space is designed as a set to sit within.
